Leaf margins may be entire, serrated, or gently undulating. The angles of branching and the density of nodes together shape the posture and rhythm of a plant’s body.

These seemingly incidental traits arise from a deep and intricate logic, gradually shaped through time, adaptation, and systemic interaction. Nature may be understood as the earliest and most profound generative artist. In this sense, generative art becomes a way of reading nature’s original language. Polypaths does not imitate plants; rather, it seeks to understand them — exploring how they branch, how they grow beyond limits, and how they flourish within the tension between order and chaos, continuously unfolding through choices and interactions.
